I wonder if sometimes what you are looking for is a small moment of stillness... a time where you can  pause  your busy life. A time to reflect and take yourself back to the water to stand and feel calm energy as the tide meets you.

The idea for these paintings came from the wonderful feeling of calm that a water view brings me. Whether walking the shore alone or with someone special they are emotions  to treasure. My foreshore sketches become paintings back in my studio.

Each of these original miniature watercolour paintings sits within  a beautiful patinaed brass frame with a delicate brass clasp to unlock the heart of peaceful views of the Exe Estuary in Devon. Painted on gorgeously textured watercolour paper, on the back of each painting are gentle words taken from my recently published poems 'Lympstone Shoreline' and 'Last Light in Lympstone'. The words are written on a separate piece of watercolour paper, so if you prefer to have a painting without words or you would prefer to add your own the choice is yours. These charming heirloom pieces, which are easy to post, are ready to hang and bring a moment of calm and stillness into your home.
