Lino Printing in Devon

My printmaking journey started over 25 years ago when I spent a year living and teaching in Nanjing, China. Working alongside the print maker artist, Hua Wenyun, I was taught the basics and intricacies of the art. Every week, we would spend hours together developing my skills and designs using lino and traditional tools. At that time, I loved temple roof tops, so would spend time carving the roof tiles and their beautiful ornate patterns.

Over the years, I have developed my own more folksy style and now love creating designs featuring birds and estuary scenes. Many of my designs are also linked to my love of year-round cold water swimming in quiet places. You can read more about my print making journey on my blog page.
