A glimmer is a small moment that sparks joy or peace and makes a positive impact on our mental health. I like to think that the blues embrace the stillness and peace of an ebbing tide and that the light reflecting on the water brings a sense of calm and a chance to reflect and steady the mind. Having swam in many coves and rivers throughout Devon and Cornwall, there is always one constant and that is the overall sense of calm and wellbeing that holds you when you are in the water. Standing on the shoreline and watching the water brings a similar sense of calm expressed in this print.

This print captures the iconic view of the River Exe as seen through the Lympstone washing lines. Now used for daily washing, their history lies in Lympstone's fishing heritage and would have had nets drying on the foreshore of the Exe. I love to sit and watch the water in this place.
